A long time ago, we were told that the invention of smarter machines would bring greater convenience to our lives. Automated production would significantly reduce the need for manual labors, while faster computers and smarter applications would replace human management. Everyone would be able to work less and have more time to enjoy themselves.
Do you still believe in such a promising future?
Look at the reality today…
The surging number of NEETs and slackers.
The continuous expansion of compulsory school materials.
The intense global competition between businesses and workers.
The desolation of the aged who are unable to keep up with new technology.
Many human minds are stressed - 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
However, it is also undeniable that technology has granted us the ability to communicate with distant faces more easily, while higher living standards have awarded us with more personal belongings than ever before. Humans live longer, and less suffer from death and hunger.
In summary… This web site seeks to explore the two contrasting sides of the same society, with an emphasis on the impact of technology advancement on human lives. Please remember that all the articles are nothing more than my original opinions, which may not represent the optimal solution for a given social problem.
